Martti Oiva Kalevi Ahtisaari (Viipuri, 1937ko ekainaren 23a - Helsinki, 2023ko urriaren 16a) politikari finlandiarra izan zen. Finlandiako Errepublikako hamargarren presidentea izan zen 1994-2000 urte bitartean. 2008an Bakearen Nobel Saria eman zioten herrialde ezberdinetako hainbat gatazka armatutan haren bitartekari-lanagatik, bereziki Kosovokoan.

Biografia

Maisu eta ekonomia ikasketak egin zituen. 1965. urtean hasi zuen bere karrera diplomatikoa Finlandiako Kanpo Arazoetarako ministerioan, eta lankidetza teknikoan espezializatu zen. 1972an Garapenerako Laguntzaren Saileko zuzendariorde izendatu zuten. 1973-1976 bitartean Tanzania, Zambia, Somalia eta Mozambikeko enbaxadore izan zen. Ondoren nazioarteko zerbitzuetan sartu eta Kanpo Arazoetarako estatuko idazkariorde izatera iritsi zen. 1991ko urtarrilean Irak eta Kuwaitera joan zen NBEren idazkariorde orokor gisa Golkoko gerrak eragindako behar humanitarioak aztertzera. Bere txostenean Irakeko egoera katastrofikotzat jo zuen eta elikadura, erregai, eta osasun eta nekazaritza tresnen debekua bertan behera uztea gomendatu zuen. Urte bereko maiatzean NBEko lana bukatu eta Finlandiara itzuli zen estatu idazkari kargua betetzera. 1992an Bosnia-Herzegovinarako Lantaldearen lehendakari izendatu zuten Jugoslavia ohiari buruzko Nazioarteko Biltzarrean, eta NBEren idazkari orokorraren zona horretarako ordezkari berezi, errepublika horren etorkizun konstituzionalari buruzko negoziazioak bideratzen laguntzeko.

1994. urtean Finlandiako presidente aukeratua izan zen eta Europar Batasunean sartzeko negoziazioekin aurrera jarraituko zuela agindu zuen. 2008an Bakearen Nobel Saria jaso zuen, nazioarteko gatazkak konpontzen urteetan egindako lanagatik (Kosovon, gehienbat).
