Nicolae Ceaușescu (/nikoˈla.e t͡ʃe̯a.uˈʃesku/ ahoskatua; Scornicești, Olt, 1918ko urtarrilaren 26a – Târgoviște, Dâmboviţa, 1989ko abenduaren 25a) politikari errumaniarra izan zen, hil arte haren herrialdeko alderdi komunistaren idazkari orokorra izan zena 1965etik eta bertako presidentea 1974tik.

Gazteria komunistan ibili ondoren, alderdiko kide bihurtu zen 1936an. Faxismoaren aurka, Hitlerren eta Antonescuren diktaduren aurka borrokatu zen. 1946an, Olt departamentuko diputatu aukeratu zuten, eta 1952an, Errumaniako Langileen Alderdiko Biltzar Nagusiko kide izendatu zuten. Alderdiaren idazkari nagusi 1965ean, Estatuko Kontseiluko lehendakari (1967), eta Errepublikako lehendakari (1973), aukeratu zuten ondotik. Herri sozialisten barnean betiere, politika berezia bultzatu zuen, eta blokeen arteko elkar-hartzearen politika sustatu zuen. Ceaușescuren gobernuak, ordea, diktadurarantz jo zuen pixkana-pixkana; berak sortutako polizia politikoak (Securitate) babestuta, zuzendaritza-kargu guztiak bere senideen ardurapean utzi zituen.

Lehenengo urteetan Mendebaldeko Europarekin eta AEBekin hurbiltze politika segitu zuen, Varsoviako Itunaren beste herrialdeek ez bezala. Haren ibilbidearen bigarren zatiak, hala ere, populismoa, muturreko nazionalismoa eta Mendebaldeko herrialdeekin eta SESBekin Errumaniak zituen harremanak okertzea ekarri zituen.

Kolpe militar baten bidez atxilotu zuten, emaztearekin batera, eta epaiketarik egin gabe eta telebistaren aurrean biak hil zituzten.
