Jacques Joseph "James" Tissot (Nantes, 1836ko urriaren 15a - Chenecey-Buillon, 1902ko abuztuaren 8a) frantziar margolaria izan zen.

1850eko hamarkadan Parisera joan zen Arte Ederretako Akademian ikastera, eta 1859an lehen aldiz Parisko Aretoan erakutsi zuen. Parisko eszena modernoak eta gizarte-bizitzakoak margotu zituen 1871n Londresen kokatu aurretik.

Frantzia-Prusia gerran, Parisen defentsan eta Parisko Komunan parte hartu zuen.

Londresen emakume dotoreen eta goi mailako gizartearen erretratuak egin zituen. 1882an Parisera itzuli zen. Édouard Maneten lagun eta zaintzaile izan zen. 1885etik aurrera bere fede katolikoa jaso zuen eta Bibliako lanak egin zituen.
