R·S·托马斯

R.S.托马斯的骨灰被埋在Porthmadog圣约翰教堂门口附近。从1936年到1978年退休，托马斯一直担任威尔士教会的牧师。他最后一个教区 Aberdaron位于Llŷn半岛顶端。荒凉的威尔士风景和教区农民艰苦的生活为他许多最优秀的诗歌提供了灵感。
