Peter Lorre (26. jun 1904–23. mart 1964), rođen kao László Löwenstein, bio je mađarsko[1] - austrijsko - američki glumac poznat po nizu tipskih uloga stranaca s mračnim namjerama.

Međunarodnom zvijezdom je postao godine 1931. portretom serijskog ubice čiji su plijen djevojčice u njemačkom filmu Ubica M. Kasnije je postao popularan sporedni glumac u holivudskim kriminalističkim filmovima i trilerima, zajedno s Humphreyem Bogartom i Sydneyem Greenstreetom, a 1930-ih je tumačio i naslovnom junaka serije detektivskih filmova Mr. Moto.
