Hutchinson er den største byen og fylkessete i Reno County i Kansas, 39 miles (63 km) nordvest for Wichita, langs Arkansas River. Ved folketellingen i 2010 hadde byen 42 080 innbyggere.[3]
Hver september holdes Kansas State Fair i byen, og i mars avholdes National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Basketball turneringen i byen. Byen er også hjem for romfartsmuseet, Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, som ligger like ved forlystelsesplassen/markedsplassen.
