To Be or Not to Be adalah sebuah film komedi Amerika 1942 garapan Ernst Lubitsch, tentang sekelompok pemeran di Warsawa saat diduduki Nazi yang memakai kemampuan mereka untuk menyamar dan berakting untuk menghibur para pasukan pendudukan. Film tersebut diadaptasi oleh Lubitsch (tak disebutkan) dan Edwin Justus Mayer dari cerita karya Melchior Lengyel. Film tersebut dibintangi oleh Carole Lombard, Jack Benny, Robert Stack, Felix Bressart, Lionel Atwill, Stanley Ridges dan Sig Ruman.^[5] Film tersebut dirilis sebulan setelah aktris Carole Lombard tewas dalam kecelakaan pesawat.^[6]
