Desulfurisasi gas buang adalah prosedur pembersihan gas untuk memisahkan sulfur dioksida (SO2) dari emisi gas buang, khususnya dari pabrik, pembangkit listrik, tempat pembakaran sampah dan mesin besar. Sulfur dioksida sendiri dihasilkan dari pembakaran bahan bakar fosil yang mengandung sulfur.
