Steve Miller Band on vuonna 1967 perustettu yhdysvaltalainen rock-yhtye, joka on kotoisin Kalifornian San Franciscosta. Sen tunnetuin jäsen on Steve Miller, yhtyeen kitaristi ja laulaja. Yhtyeen tunnetuimpia kappaleita ovat ”The Joker”, ”Fly Like an Eagle”, ”Abracadabra”, ”Rock'N Me” ja ”Jet Airliner”. Yhtyeellä on tähti Hollywood Walk of Famella[1].
Yhtyeestä tuli 1960-luvun lopulla nopeasti yksi San Franciscon lahden ympäristön suosituimmista. 1970-luvun puolivälissä yhtye teki kansainvälisen läpimurron ja siitä tuli stadionrockyhtye, se myi useita multi-platinalevyjä kuten The Joker, Fly Like an Eagle ja Book of Dreams. Yhtye sai myös useita singlelistan top ten -sijoituksia.[2]
Steve Miller Bandin levyjä on myyty kymmeniä miljoonia, muun muassa Greatest Hits 1974–1978 Yhdysvalloissa 13-kertaisesti platinalevyn verran, Fly Like an Eagle nelinkertaisesti ja Book of Dreams kolminkertaisesti.[3]
