Anexo:Premio Grammy al mejor álbum de comedia
Es una categoría de los Premios Grammy otorgada desde 1959 hasta 1993 y luego desde 2004 hasta la actualidad., que ha tenido varias denominaciones a lo largo del tiempo:
- De 1959 a 1967: Mejor interpretación de comedia – Best Comedy Performance
- De 1968 a 1991: Mejor grabación de comedia – Best Comedy Recording
- De 1992 a 1993 y desde 2004: Mejor álbum de comedia – Best Comedy Album
En 1960 y 1961 esta categoría se separó en dos premios distintos a la mejor interpretación de comedia hablada por un lado y a la comedia musical por otro lado. En 1994 el premio se restringió a álbumes de comedia hablada con lo que la categoría se trasladó al campo "hablado". Desde entonces hasta 2003 la categoría recibió el nombre de Premio Grammy al mejor álbum de comedia hablada. Sin embargo, en 2004 el premio fue reincorporado al ámbito de la "comedia" como el Premio Grammy al mejor álbum de comedia, permitiendo una vez más que las obras de comedia musical fuesen tenidas en cuenta para el galardón.
Los años reflejan la fecha en que los Premios Grammy fueron fallados, en reconocimiento a los logros discográficos alcanzados por los artistas musicales durante el año anterior.
