Whitmore Township is located in Macon County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,471 and it contained 1,915 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 36.9 square miles (96 km2), of which 35.9 square miles (93 km2) (or 97.29%) is farmland and 1 square mile (2.6 km2) (or 2.71%) is water.[2]
