North Kenton is a well known area in Newcastle, known to have a strong community spirit. Once a month, the local tenants and residents group known as North Kenton Tenants and Residents Association, work all year round to create events for the whole community. In August every year it is the month of the great Rob Gray conquest, when all the community rally round and celebrate and speak fondly and admirably of their friend. The man from within their bosom, who grew to become a proper man of the people. A exceptional joiner, so much so, that those in his presence were left dumbfounded at the ease in which he made honey out of dog shite!! In his honour, they plan the annual Family Fun Day with help funding from local business and Newcastle City Council.after the month of the great and wise rob gray they hold a weeks long festival for there dear ross mccabe only a week as he left the realm in which his self and mr gray overloaded mr mccabe no a fine fellow of a man is said to reside in the cramlington area but is also said to walk the streets aimlessly longing for a return to Kenton and a reunion with master gray. After the weeks long festival in which the locals tie masking tape around there heads in homage to mr McCabe’s dear friend Gray they are often found climbing the closest tree or seen running through the local elderlys fences shouting spontaneously drink gargle booze the origins to this ritual remain unknown
In 2016 North Kenton Tenants and Residents Association launched their website [1]
