The BYD Yuan Up (Chinese: 比亚迪元UP; stylised as Yuan UP) is a battery electric subcompact crossover SUV (B-segment) manufactured by BYD Auto since 2024. Part of the BYD Yuan series that is named after the Yuan dynasty, the Yuan Up was introduced in February 2024 and has entered production on March 2024.[2]
Overview
The BYD Yuan Up is based on the e-Platform 3.0 shared with the standard Yuan model and is powered by BYD's Blade lithium-ion LFP Battery. The entry-level Yuan Up is equipped with a 32 kWh battery supporting 187 miles (301 km) of CLTC range. The maximum power output is 70 kW and 180 Nm. Acceleration time from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) is 12 seconds. The more upmarket version has a 45.12 kWh battery, with a CLTC range of 249 miles (401 km). The more upmarket version is powered by a 130 kW and 290 Nm electric motor, resulting in a 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) acceleration time of 7.9 seconds.[3]
